Character Modifier Configuration Window Help

Using this window you can edit the character modifiers for the each mapped main character.



How to Use
1. Select a keyboard character

2. Select the Sinhala Character

Now, If you want, you can preview the selected character by clicking "Preview Character" button.
If will display the current character with modifiers.



3. Select the mode
There are four modes for for directions as shown in the picture.


4. Select the character index
There are maximum of eight characters available for a single mode.numbered from 1 to 8.
These are the characters displayed when you press the arrow keys.

Now the selected character information is displayed.



Normal key character is the character displayed with arrow key pressed in the typing manager for the selected main Sinhala character.And Shift key character is the character displayed when you press the arrow key with shift pressed.

To change the values double click the text boxes and select the required character.
Understanding the Partial and Composite characters

 Partial Character
Partial Character is a part of a mode character.By combining the partial character and the main character the mode character can be generated.

Combining the Main Character + Partial Character = mode2 character1

Combining the Main Character + Partial Character = mode2 shift character1

Composite character
Composite character is a character that does not want to combine with a main character to generate a mode character.

Now when you add/change character information you must also state that weather the both normal and shift characters are partial or not by ticking or unticking the option.


Managing the modifier information
To Clear the current modifier data displayed

Click button and select reset current mode


To clear all modifier data for the all modes for the selected sinhala character

Click button and select reset All modes


To copy the modifier data of the selected sinhala character
Click button



Using the window select the sinhala character(s) by  button and after you selected the charcters press Copy Button.
